Sarve Janah Sukhino Bhavanthu in Sanskrit stands for prosperity to all. Embedded in its logo, this philosophy is followed by over 12000 employees of corporation bank spread across 2086 different service points.

The year 1906 saw the birth of this bank with a capital of just Rs. 5000. Over its history of over 103 years the bank has grown to become a name to reckon with. Its current business is close to 1,20,000 Crores.

Although the bank was existent during the first nationalisation drive, it was only in 1980 that it became nationalised. It was the second Public bank to come out with an IPO. Its strength was visible considering that the IPO was over- subscribed by 13 times.

The founder of the bank was Haji Abdullah who envisioned “The Primary object in forming ‘Corporation’ is not only to cultivate habits of thrift amongst all classes of people, without distinction of caste or creed, but also habits of co-operation amongst all classes”. Today the bank has kept that vision and yet grown into a full fledged profitable business. MR. Abdullah’s vision is today extended by the means of branchless banking in over 400 villages.

The bank offers loans in the brand name “corp”, Corp Home , CorpĀ  Personal, Corp Mortgage etc are some of its well known products.
